BRING OUR MUSIC BACK, INC. is dedicated to the enrichment of youth experience and education through music in the support of burgeoning musical talent, programs and services in our schools and communities.  Through our music initiatives, Bring Our Music Back, Inc.  fosters the artistic development of youth restoring, nurturing and preserving music as a viable art form both in our schools and communities where funding has been severly cut.   In providing performance opportunities, music mentorships and internships for youth--we are able to give young talent a voice, venue and on stage shared experience with national recording artists and seasoned muscians--potentially a life changing experience.

With the 5-year State of Connecticut contract firmly in place, Bring Our Music Back, Inc. announces the 2012 Summer Concert Series “August Nights at Harkness . . . Music the way it was!” at the revered state landmark, Harkness Memorial State Park, located along the shoreline in Waterford, CT.

Four concerts are scheduled for August. This year’s theme takes a walk down memory lane heralding Americana and its iconic legends! The greatest talent spanning over 60 years from Motown, Jazz, Blues and Folk will take the stage this summer under those magical Harkness starry nights.

The concerts to be held at Harkness Memorial State Park, Waterford CT are scheduled for Thursday, August 2nd & 9th, Wednesday August 15th and Thursday, August 23, 2012 with the following line-up of world class talent:

Concert Times . . .All concerts will be held from 5:30p-10p rain or shine with back up rain site is the Garde Arts Center.  Doors open at 4:00pm for traditional picnicking.  The Bee and Thistle Inn & Spa of Old Lyme will sponsor the Best Picnic awards.  Dancing welcomed! 

Picnicking is a Must  . . . Pack your own Picnics or Order Box Dinners by Coffee’s Country Market available by special order through boxdinners@bringourmusicback.org to be picked up at the concert Hospitality Tent.  Dessert and Coffee Tent available !  The Bee & Thistle Inn of Old Lyme will sponsor the Best Picnic awards for culinary greatness ....special awards will be given at intermission !  Surprise Judges will make guest appearances.
